Onset® Sodium Bicarbonate Injection 8.4% USP Neutralizing Additive Solution is a sterile, nonpyrogenic solution of sodium bicarbonate in water used for local anesthetic buffering prior to injection.

  • To be ordered with the Onset cartridge connector and mixing pen
  • Raises the pH of local anesthetics, resulting in over 6000 times more of the active form of the anesthetic at the time of injection
  • Can be added to articaine, lidocaine, mepivicaine or priolocaine as an immediate neutralizing agent prior to injection
