Barrier Dentin Sealant is a universal protective cavity varnish that is also an ideal coronal sealant for endodontic procedures and an effective short-term protectant for exposed root surfaces. This plastic material forms an extremely thin film layer that adheres to dentin and is used to prevent post-operative discomfort caused by exposure to acid and irritants found in restoratives and cements, and by temperature changes in amalgam restorations.
