Clonidine Hydrochloride Injection is a centrally-acting solution for use in continuous epidural infusion devices. This drug is administered epidurally and acts to produce dose-dependent analgesia not antagonized by opiate antagonists.

  • Used along with opiates on cancer patients whose severe pain is not adequately relieved using opioid analgesics by themselves
  • More likely to be effective on neuropathic, somatic or visceral pain
